Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Extracto (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.

1. The Service

Extracto is a web data extraction API. You submit a URL and a JSON schema; we return structured JSON validated against that schema. The Service is a tool, comparable to a browser automation library or an HTTP client.

2. Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you extract and how you use it. You agree to comply with the terms of service of the sites you target, applicable law (including data protection law such as GDPR and CCPA), and robots directives. You will not use the Service to access private, authenticated, or personal data without a lawful basis, to circumvent access controls in violation of law, or to cause harm or disproportionate load to any site.

3. Plans, payments and cancellation

The Service is offered on a free plan and on paid subscription plans as described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your account returns to the free plan. Quota is allocated per billing period and does not roll over. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.

4. Availability and accuracy

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Extraction accuracy varies by site, and we make no guarantee of completeness for any particular page, especially heavily JavaScript-driven or authentication-gated pages.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Extracto is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
